On 4 September 2026, the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik – “BPS”) issued Central Statistics Agency Regulation No. 6 of 2026 concerning Amendments to Central Statistics Agency Regulation No. 7 of 2025 concerning the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (“BPS Regulation 6/2026”), which came into effect on 10 September 2026.
BPS Regulation 6/2026 amends all annexes to Central Statistics Agency Regulation No. 7 of 2025 (“BPS Regulation 7/2025”). In general, these amendments do not materially alter the structure of the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification of 2025 (Klasifikasi Baku Lapangan Usaha Indonesia Tahun 2025 - “KBLI”) as set out in BPS Regulation 7/2025. However, several adjustments have been made to the classifications of the battery industry, particularly KBLI 27201 (Battery Manufacturing) and KBLI 27203 (Vehicle Battery and Large-Capacity Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Manufacturing).
